NWKRTC Deploys Extra Buses for Shivaratri as Passengers Head Home

Hubballi, Karnataka – The North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) is gearing up for a surge in passengers traveling for the upcoming Shivaratri festival. With a confluence of holidays – Shivaratri on Friday, March 8th, followed by the second Saturday on March 9th and Sunday, March 10th being a holiday – many people are expected to return to their hometowns.

To cater to this increased demand, NWKRTC will be operating around 110 special additional buses across its Hubballi, Dharwad, Gadag, Belgavi, Uttar Kannada, Haveri, and Bagalkot divisions during the festival period.

The additional buses will operate from major bus stands in these cities and connect passengers to various destinations within Karnataka, including Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, and Hyderabad. The buses will be equipped with modern amenities for a comfortable journey.

Extra Buses After Shivaratri Based on Demand

The NWKRTC has also announced that they will be deploying additional buses after the Shivaratri festival on March 10th and beyond, based on the crowd density observed at major locations.

The Chief Traffic Manager of NWKRTC encouraged the public to utilize their corporation’s buses for a safe and comfortable journey during the festival. They urged passengers to take advantage of the special additional buses and book their tickets in advance to avoid any last-minute rush.
